Milatos is located on the northern coast of Crete, in the Lasitihi regional unit, the easternmost part of the island. Milatos beach has a small fishing port with a few good fish restaurants and a lively beach. The village of Milatos - just a kilometer inland - is an oasis of traditional stone houses, some restored by foreigners who have fallen in love with the village's rustic charms.
